BioMy name is Nicolette. I'm twenty-one years old and work at Starbucks full-time as a Shift Supervisor (yes, people trust me with keys). I'm also a full-time college student at UMass
I'm a natural blonde, but I've recently been getting into the hair dye; I realise now that I've never had my natural hair colour for a graduation. My hair had pink streaks for my high school graduation and when I graduated in May from Massasoit (Associate of Arts, big whoop?), my hair was (and still is) brown. The brown turned a bit reddish-auburn after my stint in Fort Myers this spring (hello, spring training), and it's kind of destroying the hair I have left, so as of 5 June 2007, I will once again be blonde. Woo.
Most of my closest friends I met through the wonders of teh internets. A bit odd, yes, but that's what RPing does to you. Yes. I roleplay. But not scifi/fantasy. Harry Potter and High School. Total geekdom here, people. Tracey Davis (Hawthorne, not in HP-land) is my baby and has been my baby for about four years.
I have a ton of geeky fandoms, including but not limited to Star Trek: TNG, James Bond, Harry Potter, Veronica Mars, CSI: Vegas, Boston Legal, Battlestar Galactica, and Mystery Science Theatre 3000. I'm also an avid reader (when I have time, at least) and love Margaret Atwood, Chuck Palahniuk, Patricia Cornwell, Michael Crichton, Candace Bushnell, Orson Scott Card, and George Orwell. I'm also a complete geek for any and all things political, but especially international relations.
I can't say I'm that interesting a person, unless a cool CNN alert pops into my inbox and I rant about it for a good while. I mostly use LJ for reading up on my friends and ranting about my job. But regardless, when I actually get the energy to update it's often worth the read. ...Okay, maybe change 'often' to 'sometimes'. Especially when said rants include commentary via IM from my conservative boyfriend. Yeah, they still exist. Gasp.
